Tianyi Health Center was founded by Ms. Lily Van Wijngaarde-Chen (陈筱霞) in 2016 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Originally named Tianyi Acupuncture Clinic, we later rebranded to Tianyi Health Center to reflect our broader range of natural treatments. Conveniently located at Haarlemmerdijk 120 A, we are close to Central Station.

In Chinese, Tianyi (天颐) means living in heavenly harmony with nature, which is the core focus of our clinic. We strive to do our best helping everyone live and work in harmony with nature and themselves. At Tianyi Health Center, we believe in maintaining a good balance and health.

Ms. Lily Chen was born in China and grew up in a family of doctors. She spent 15 years as an English teacher and Associate Professor of Economics at a top Chinese university. Her passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has led her to study acupuncture at Shenzhou TCM Open University. Under the guidance of Dr. Cong Zhang (张冲), a prominent specialist in Chinese AAA hospital’s acupuncture department, Lily has gained invaluable TCM experiences and insights. Dr. Zhang is known for treating conditions such as sudden deafness, infertility, post-stroke syndrome, and various pain syndromes etc.

Over the past 15 years, Lily has helped thousands of patients in both large hospitals and various TCM clinics. She is passionate about TCM practices such as acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, and herbal medicine etc. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Lily has assisted a lot of patients with post-COVID recovery using acupuncture, cupping, tuina, and herbs. She is highly regarded for her careful, warm, and professional approach.
